Recycling Christmas Trees

I wiffle-waffled this year about whether to buy an artificial tree for Christmas (for the first time in my life) or to go with the traditional pine-outside-the-grocery-store.
I was nearly going to buy a fake one when I read a post from Jessica outlining why real trees are actually a green choice. So I followed her advice.
And then I recycled the tree. This year the pile of trees was smaller than in years past. I recycle'em each year at the same drop off spot for our city. It takes quite a bit more doing to bring a dead, needle-dropping pine to the pile of old trees than it does to get it on top of the car (new and fresh) with a helper from the store where you bought it.
