Article on emotional manipulators

Posted on Sep 27th, 2006 by J~E~S~S : Living on Purpose J~E~S~S
I was just doing some personal research online and came across a link I'd like to share.

Spotting Emotional Manipulation (will open in new window)

This article lists eight ways to recognize an emotional manipulator. After reading the list, I recognize a couple of the methods of emotional manipulation as things I employ, but I see that lots of the list items are things my mother does, or did when I was little. So I learned my behaviors from her and here I am wondering how I got the way I am and how to change the behaviors that aren't working for me.

I see it as my mission this lifetime to derail myself from depending on these types of behaviors, therefore breaking the chain of dysfunction that is passed from mother to child.

Gather your strength, Zaadsters, and find your missions!

Jessica - that's a truly powerful insight and mission!  There's a great book by John Bradshaw called “Family Secrets” that really hits on breaking family patterns (we read it in my Spiritual Psychology Masters program).  By entering into the process/your mission with courage and love, you have the huge opportunity to transform generations of family patterns and karma.  Pretty powerful.  Thanks so much for sharing!
